DMT1 blocker 1 is a small-molecule inhibitor of the divalent metal transporter 1 (DMT1) with a reported IC50 of 0.64 μM. It inhibits intestinal non-heme iron absorption, shows efficacy in rodent models of acute iron hyperabsorption, and has high metabolic stability in rat liver microsomal incubation.
